The annual Salesforce conference, called Dreamforce, starts tomorrow, Monday 13th October at the Moscone center in San Francisco. We're here already, we arrived yesterday after a 16 hour flight from Dubai. We're working hard to counter the effects of jet lag with the help of some of the finer bars and restaurants in the Marina area..
When we attended last year, we were part of a 135,000 strong attendees (Oracle had 70,000 at their conference here last month). This year looks to be as popular, with every hotel room in the city booked up for months. The headlines for the conference are many and varied
- Keynote speakers including Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Tony Prophet (Microsoft) and Tony Robbins. The end of conference concert has Bruno Mars playing at the Civic Centre
- Already leaked by CEO Marc Benioff is news that Salesforce are launching their 'Big Data' play, called Wave, or the Analytic Cloud. There has already been a lot of press comment on this, including this from Techcrounch
- There are thousands of individual sessions, including a dedicated agenda for Small to Medium (SME) sized business
We'll post and tweet during each day of the conference. Each year we come back from this conference with so much more information and tools and we're sure that this year will be even better.
